Hello Everybody,

For the rest of 2022 we are going to be offering free lunches for everybody for our meetings to drive up attendance and get things back to normal. We are looking for more people to get involved and take seats on the board in 2023 so if anybody is interested, or if you know of any engineers looking to get more involved, please reach out.

Presentation Description

This presentation will cover condensing boiler plant efficiency and specifically how short cycling can have a huge negative impact on that.  We’ll discuss how to avoid short cycling by properly managing system flow rates, system volume, boiler turndown, and boiler control differential.  We’ll break things down in simple terms so you can figure out exactly how much turndown you need.  We’ll also take a detailed look at what it takes to get high turndown in natural gas fired 90+ boilers so folks can weigh out the various options. Zero regulation gas valves are used across the industry in high efficiency boilers, so we’ll break down exactly how these need to be applied in high turndown applications. We’ll also look at newer technology that uses oxygen trim to enhance boiler turndown and efficiency.
